Security forces killed three terrorists in J&K's Pulwama district

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists were killed this morning in an encounter that broke out between security forces and terrorists in Chewa Ullar area of Tral in Pulwama district.
 
As per police sources, a joint team of Police, Army’s 42 RR  and CRPF laid a Cordon and Search Operation yesterday evening in the area.
 
As the joint team approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding terrorists fired upon them which was retaliated and resulted into the eruption of a gunfight. However, the operation was called off for the night due to darkness.

But when the operation resumed in the wee hours of today, an exchange of firefight took place between the terrorists and security forces that resulted into the elimination of three Terrorists. All these terrorists are locals belonging to the Tral area of the district. Arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the encounter site.

Meanwhile, one CRPF personnel was martyred when terrorists attacked CRPF 90 Battalion near Padshahi Bagh in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district this afternoon. The Battalion was on the National Highway patrol duty. A 9 year old boy from Yaripora Kulgam was also killed in this attack. The area has been cordoned off and a massive manhunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
