Three terrorists killed in encounter with security forces in J&K's Anantnag

In Jammu and Kashmir, three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Anantnag district this morning.

The encounter broke out after security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Khul Chohar following information about the presence of terrorists in the area. The gunfight broke out after terrorists opened fire on the search party of the forces, who retaliated.

The identity of the slain terrorists is being ascertained. One AK 47 Rifle and Two pistols have been recovered from their possession. Operation has concluded but search operation in the area is going on.

11 per cent GDP growth projected by Economic Survey 2020-21 for next financial year

Economic Survey 2020-21 has projected  GDP growth for the next financial year at 11 per cent. It has suggested that the growth recovery will be driven by government consumption. The Economic Survey  2020-21, tabled by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Lok Sabha today suggested that the net exports and government consumption have cushioned the growth from further plunge. It says that the GDP for the current financial year is estimated to contract by 7.7 per cent. It further says that the nominal GDP for the next fiscal is expected to grow at 15.4 per cent. The Economic Survey gave a detailed analysis of India's V-shaped economic recovery after the shadow effect of the corona pandemic. It says that the mega vaccination drive supports the V-shaped recovery.
