47 Chinese clone Apps banned in the country

Government has banned 47 more Chinese apps. Earlier, it had  banned 59 China-based apps on the grounds of national security and data privacy.

Official sources said these 47 apps are clones of the previously banned Chinese apps. Last month, the government had banned Chinese apps including TikTok Lite and Helo Lite.

Dec 20, 2020 ,  8:21AM Election Commission issues advisory on transfer and posting of officials in states where assembly elections are due next year AIR Pics Election Commission of India has issued advisory to Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Puducherry for transfer and posting of officers connected with conduct of assembly elections to be held next year. ECI has advised that government officers directly connected with the conduct of elections must not be posted in her or his home district. It said officers against whom the Commission had recommended disciplinary action in past and which is pending or which has resulted in a penalty or the officers who have been charged for any lapse in any election or election related work in the past, should not be assigned any election related duty. Two more bodies were recovered today and the death toll has reached 34 now. AIR Correspondent covering the calamity reports that around 170 people are still missing and some of them are feared to be trapped in the tunnel.
