Govt extends ITR filing date for Assessment Year 2019-20 till Nov 30

Government has further extended the last date for filing ITR for Assessment Year 2019-20 till 30th of November this year. Earlier the last date for filing the belated and revised ITRs for Financial Year ending on 31st March 2019 was 30th September.

The Income Tax department, in a statement, said that the decision was taken after further consideration of genuine difficulties being faced by the taxpayers due to the Covid-19 situation.

Two more bodies were recovered today and the death toll has reached 34 now. AIR Correspondent covering the calamity reports that around 170 people are still missing and some of them are feared to be trapped in the tunnel. The herculean effort to reach the trapped people through the slush and heavy boulders continued on the fourth consecutive day at the calamity site in Chamoli district.
