Campaigning for 2nd phase of assembly elections in Bihar reaches feverish pitch

@ECISVEEP
In Bihar, with just one day left for electioneering for the second phase of assembly elections, campaigning has reached feverish pitch. Campaigning for 94 assembly seats spread over 17 districts will conclude tomorrow evening.

In this phase, polling will be held in the constituencies mostly spread over districts of North Bihar. Polling will be held on 3rd NOVEMBER.

Political fate of 1,463 candidates, including 146 woman candidates will be decided in this phase. One transgender candidate is also in the fray.

In the last leg of campaigning, star campaigners and senior leaders are making a last ditch effort to woo the voters.

AIR Correspondent reports, the BJP President JP Nadda addressed a rally in Sonpur in Saran district, where he hit hard on Congress and RJD.

Mr. Nadda alleged that the statements of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi support the anti-national sentiments because he had sought evidence about Pulwama terror attack. Mr Nadda termed that alliance of RJD, Congress and Left parties an alliance of anarchy, destruction and anti-nationals.

JD(U) President and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held public meetings in Simari Bakhtiyarpur, Nathnagar, and Beldaur. Mr Kumar said he has established rule of law in the State which has led the State on the path of development.

Senior BJP leaders Ravishankar Prasad, Bhupendra Yadav and  Sushil Kumar Modi also addressed rallies.

RJD leader Tejaswi Prasad Yadav addressed rallies in Lauriya, Baikunthpur, Sugauli and Narkatia. Mr Yadav took exception to Nitish Kumar saying that he did not take care about the miseries of migrant people and flood victims.

Congress leader Sushmita Dev alleged in Patna that during the tenure of NDA, crime against women increased exponentially.

Addressing a rally in Babubarahi in Madhubani district Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RLSP) Chief Upendra Kushwaha said that if voted to power, he will ensure representation of all sections of society in government and appoint four deputy chief ministers.

LJP President Chirag Paswan, leaders of CPI-ML, CPI and CPM also held public meetings in support of their candidates.
