Delhi University VC Prof. Yogesh Tyagi suspended for dereliction of duty

The Vice Chancellor of Delhi University Professor Yogesh Tyagi has been suspended in connection with the allegations of dereliction of duties.

President Ram Nath Kovind in his capacity as Visitor of the Delhi University has also ordered an enquiry into the allegations of dereliction of duties and lack of commitment and devotion to duty against Professor Tyagi.

All the orders issued by or issued with the approval of Professor Tyagi during the period of his absence on medical ground after Pro Vice Chancellor Professor P C Joshi assumed the charge of Vice Chancellor of Delhi University on 17th July ,2020 have been set aside.

Ministry of Education in its order also said that the Vice Chancellor Prof Tyagi is not administering the university in accordance with statutory provisions which has caused mis-governance and malfunctioning of the University.
