IPL: Kings XI Punjab beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wkts in Sharjah

In IPL Cricket, Kings XI Punjab beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets in Sharjah last night.
 
Punjab achieved the victory target of 150 in 18.5 overs after losing two wickets.
 
Mandeep Singh with 66 not out off 56 balls and Chris Gayle with 51 off 29 balls guided Punjab to register a fifth consecutive victory in the IPL.
 
Last night's win lifted them to fourth in the standings.

Earlier, put into bat, Kolkata made 149 runs for nine wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
 
Shubman Gill was the highest for KKR with 57 from 37 balls.
 
For Kings XI Punjab, Mohammad Shami was the most successful bowler bagging three wickets.

In today's fixture, Sunrisers Hyderabad will clash with Delhi Capitals in Dubai.

Feb 10, 2021 ,  8:46PM Massive rescue and search operation continues in Chamoli district, Uttarakhand AIR Pics In Uttarakhand, a team of more than 800 personnel comprising various forces including marines from Navy continued rescue and search operation throughout the day at the calamity site in Chamoli district. Two more bodies were recovered today and the death toll has reached 34 now. AIR Correspondent covering the calamity reports that around 170 people are still missing and some of them are feared to be trapped in the tunnel. Around 170 people are still missing and 25 to 35 persons are feared to be trapped in the tunnel. The herculean effort to reach the trapped people through the slush and heavy boulders continued on the fourth consecutive day at the calamity site in Chamoli district.
