PM visits Serum Institute, inspects vaccine production process

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visted the Serum Institute in Pune this evening. During the 50-minute visit, Prime Minister Modi inspected the vaccine production process. Later, he had a discussion with the scientists and officials.

The Prime Minister today reviewed the production process of Covid 19 vaccines across the country.

After visiting Zydus Biotic in Ahmedabad in the morning and later Cadilla Pharmaceuticals in Hyderabad he reached Pune to review the production process of Covishield vaccine in Serum. After concluding the hour-long program, Prime Minister Modi will leave for Delhi shortly.

Two more bodies were recovered today and the death toll has reached 34 now. AIR Correspondent covering the calamity reports that around 170 people are still missing and some of them are feared to be trapped in the tunnel. The herculean effort to reach the trapped people through the slush and heavy boulders continued on the fourth consecutive day at the calamity site in Chamoli district.
