Govt. says, India’s cumulative COVID-19 recoveries are highest in the world

Government today said that India’s cumulative COVID-19 recoveries are the highest in the world. The Health Ministry said, the number of recovered COVID cases has reached around 97,50,000.

The Ministry said, India’s present active caseload of around 2,81,000 consists of 2.77 per cent of India’s total positive cases. The country's COVID-19 recovery rate has also reached 95.78 per cent. It said, the country has reported less than 30 thousand daily new cases continuously for the last 13 days.
 
During the past 24 hours, 22,272 new cases were reported taking the total number of positive cases to over one crore one lakh. Currently, India’s Case Fatality Rate is at 1.45 per cent which is one of the lowest globally. During the last 24 hours, 251 deaths were reported taking the toll to 1,47,343.
