Two terrorists killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir

In Jammu and Kashmir, two terrorists have been killed in an encounter with security forces in the Kanigam area of Shopian.

DGP Dilbagh Singh said, the slain terrorists belonged to Al-Badr outfit. The encounter broke out after security forces launched a search operation in the area following specific input. They had joined the terror outfit in July-August this year.

Two more bodies were recovered today and the death toll has reached 34 now. AIR Correspondent covering the calamity reports that around 170 people are still missing and some of them are feared to be trapped in the tunnel. The herculean effort to reach the trapped people through the slush and heavy boulders continued on the fourth consecutive day at the calamity site in Chamoli district.
