J&K: Three terrorists killed in gunfight with Security Forces in Tral area of Pulwama

In the Union Territory of Jammu and kashmir, three terrorists were killed in a gunfight with the security forces in Mandoora village in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district this afternoon.

After a brief exchange of gunfire, joint teams of Jammu Kashmir Police and Army were able to gun down the hiding terrorists.

Addressing a press conference this evening, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) Vijay Kumar said that the slain terrorists were locals and have been identified as Arif Shiekh, Waaris Bhat and Ehtishamul Haq-all from different areas of Pulwama district.

He said that the trio was associated with the Hizbul Mujahideen outfit. Speaking about the IED blast in which one Army soldier died and three others were injured on 27th of January in Kulgam district, the IGP said that they have identified the person who had planted the IED. The culprits belong to Jaesh-e-Mohammad outfit and attempts are on to nab them.
