Several development projects to be launched by PM in Kerala today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will arrive in Kerala this afternoon to lay the foundation stone and dedicate various development projects to the nation at Kochi. Elaborate security arrangements and traffic restrictions are made in the city in view of the Prime Minister's visit.

AIR Correspondent reports that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to land at INS Garuda Naval Air Station Kochi at 2.45 p.m. The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation various key projects including the Propylene Derivative Petrochemical Project of Bharat Petroleum Corporation at around 3.30 p.m.

He will be accompanied by Kerala Governor Arif Mohammed Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Union Ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Mansukh Mandaviya and V. Muraleedharan to the event.

The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the Ro-Ro Vessels at Willingdon Islands in Kochi. He will inaugurate India’s first full-fledged international cruise terminal at Cochin Port and Marine Engineering Training Institute of Cochin Shipyard Ltd.

Apart from this,  he will also lay the foundation stone of the reconstruction of South Coal Berth at Cochin Port. These projects will add momentum to the development of Kerala.
