Over six crore five lakh doses of Covid-19 vaccine administered in country

Over six crore five lakh 30 thousand beneficiaries have been administered Covid-19 vaccine in the country till now.

68 thousand 20 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the 24 hour period and with this total cases have reached 1 crore 20 lakh 39 thousand 644. Till now, one crore 13 lakh 55 thousand 9 hundred persons have recovered from Covid-19. The recovery rate is now at 94.32 per cent.

Eight States, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh have reported high number of COVID daily new cases. 84.5 per cent of the new cases are reported from these eight states. Maharashtra reported highest daily new cases at 40 thousand 414 yesterday.
 
Talking to AIR News NITI Aayog member V.K. Paul said this programme will be further accelerated in near future.

11 per cent GDP growth projected by Economic Survey 2020-21 for next financial year

Economic Survey 2020-21 has projected  GDP growth for the next financial year at 11 per cent. It has suggested that the growth recovery will be driven by government consumption. The Economic Survey  2020-21, tabled by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Lok Sabha today suggested that the net exports and government consumption have cushioned the growth from further plunge. It says that the GDP for the current financial year is estimated to contract by 7.7 per cent. It further says that the nominal GDP for the next fiscal is expected to grow at 15.4 per cent. The Economic Survey gave a detailed analysis of India's V-shaped economic recovery after the shadow effect of the corona pandemic. It says that the mega vaccination drive supports the V-shaped recovery.
