Air India brings 318 oxygen concentrators to India on its New York-Delhi flight: HS Puri

Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri today said that Air India has brought 318 oxygen concentrators to India on its New York-Delhi flight today.
 
He said, all efforts to strengthen India’s fight against the pandemic are on. He said, let there be no doubt, we will turn the tide.
 
Ambient air contains about 20 per cent oxygen and 78 per cent nitrogen.
 
An oxygen concentrator is a device that takes in ambient air and filters out the nitrogen from it to concentrate the oxygen molecules in the treated mixture.
