MC Mary Kom to face Kazakhstan's Nazym Kyzaibay in summit clash of Asian Boxing Championships in Dubai today

Six-time world champion MC Mary Kom will face Kazakhstan's Nazym Kyzaibay in the summit clash of Asian Boxing Championships in Dubai today. She stormed into the final of the women’s 51 kilogram category with a 4-1 win against Mongolia’s Latsaikhan Altantsetseg.

here are three more Indian women boxers in contention for gold medal. They include Lalbuatsaihi in 64 kg, Pooja Rani in 75 kg and Anupama in plus 81 kg category. Indian male boxers Amit Panghal, Shiva Thapa and Sanjeet have also reached the finals of Asian Boxing Championship with resounding victories in the last-four stage.
 
While Panghal out-punched Saken Bibossinov of Kazakhstan 5-0, Thapa, the first Indian boxer in the tournament history to secure five medals, won over defending champion Bakhodur Usmonov of Tajikistan to make the finals with a 4-0 verdict. Second seed Sanjeet defeated Tursunov Sanjar of Uzbekistan by 5-0. 

National champion Varinder Singh and Vikas Krishan Yadav finished with bronze medal. Panghal will now take on reigning Olympic and world champion Shakhobidin Zoirov of Uzbekistan in the final tomorrow.
