PM Modi lauds GST system on completion of its four years

Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, GST has been a milestone in the economic landscape of India.
 
Mr Modi said, It has decreased the number of taxes, compliance burden and overall tax burden on common man while significantly increasing transparency, compliance and overall collection.
 
It has been four years since the introduction of Goods and Services Tax (GST) law, country’s biggest tax reform, on July 1, 2017.

Dec 20, 2020 ,  8:21AM Election Commission issues advisory on transfer and posting of officials in states where assembly elections are due next year AIR Pics Election Commission of India has issued advisory to Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Puducherry for transfer and posting of officers connected with conduct of assembly elections to be held next year. ECI has advised that government officers directly connected with the conduct of elections must not be posted in her or his home district. It said officers against whom the Commission had recommended disciplinary action in past and which is pending or which has resulted in a penalty or the officers who have been charged for any lapse in any election or election related work in the past, should not be assigned any election related duty. Apr 25, 2021 ,  2:10PM 551 oxygen generation plants to be set up in district government hospitals through PM CARES Tweeted by @AIR The Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations Fund, PM CARES Fund has given in-principle approval for allocation of funds for installation of 551 dedicated Pressure Swing Adsorption, PSA Medical Oxygen Generation Plants inside public health facilities in the country. The decision is in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s direction of boosting availability of oxygen to hospitals. The Prime Minister has directed that these plants should be made functional as soon as possible. He said that these plants will serve as a major boost to oxygen availability at the district level. These dedicated plants will be established in identified Government hospitals in district headquarters in various States and Union Territories.
