DGCA issues circular announcing Scheduled International Commercial Flights suspension till Aug 31

The Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) issued a circular yesterday saying that Scheduled International Commercial Flights to remain suspended till 31st of August.

However, the restrictions will not be applicable on international cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA. The Director General of Civil Aviation said that international scheduled flights may be allowed on selected routes by the competent authority on case to case basis.

Dec 20, 2020 ,  8:21AM Election Commission issues advisory on transfer and posting of officials in states where assembly elections are due next year AIR Pics Election Commission of India has issued advisory to Assam, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Puducherry for transfer and posting of officers connected with conduct of assembly elections to be held next year. ECI has advised that government officers directly connected with the conduct of elections must not be posted in her or his home district. It said officers against whom the Commission had recommended disciplinary action in past and which is pending or which has resulted in a penalty or the officers who have been charged for any lapse in any election or election related work in the past, should not be assigned any election related duty. Two more bodies were recovered today and the death toll has reached 34 now. AIR Correspondent covering the calamity reports that around 170 people are still missing and some of them are feared to be trapped in the tunnel.
