Gunfight breaks out between terrorists and security forces in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, a gunfight broke out between terrorists and security forces at village Nagberan of Tarsar forest area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, a short while ago.

The operation between the joint team of security forces and the terrorists is underway. Further details are awaited.

Two more bodies were recovered today and the death toll has reached 34 now. AIR Correspondent covering the calamity reports that around 170 people are still missing and some of them are feared to be trapped in the tunnel. Around 170 people are still missing and 25 to 35 persons are feared to be trapped in the tunnel. The herculean effort to reach the trapped people through the slush and heavy boulders continued on the fourth consecutive day at the calamity site in Chamoli district.
