J&K NIA raids 14 locations in connection with cases related to recovery of 5 Kg IED on June 27

In the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) today raided 14 locations across the UT in connection with cases related to recovery of 5 Kg IED on June 27 and the arrest of Lashkar-e-Mustafa top commander Hidayatullah Malik.

Multiple NIA teams carried out simultaneous raids at 14 locations this morning in connection with two terror cases. The first case is related to recovery of 7 Kg IED near Jammu bus stand in February this year, while the second is related to a conspiracy by terror organisation LeM nearly a month after the arrest of its chief Hidayatullah Malik  was arrested by Anantnag police from Kunjwani area of Jammu on February 6.

On June 27, two people were arrested by J&K Police with an IED from Narwal area of Jammu. Their arrest came hours after two explosions rocked the high security technical area of Air Force Station in Jammu which was carried out by drones.
The Ministry of Home Affairs had handed over this investigation to NIA a few days ago.
