More than 55 crore 73 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been provided to States, UT so far; National recovery rates from Covid-19 stands at 97.45 pct

Union Health Ministry has said that more than 55 crores 73 lakh COVID vaccine doses have been provided to States and Union Territories so far. It said that further one crore 37 thousand 990 doses are in the pipeline.

The new phase of universalization of COVID-19 vaccination commenced on the 21st of June this year. The vaccination drive has been ramped up through the availability of more vaccines, advanced visibility of vaccine availability to States and Union Territories for enabling better planning by them and streamlining the vaccine supply chain. As part of the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, the government has been supporting the States and Union Territories by providing them COVID vaccines free of cost.
